Support FAQs
What is it?
Metronomus is a metronome app designed by professional musicians and offers several useful features that other metronome apps lack.
How do I use it?
Metronomus was designed to be as easy to use as it is powerful. To start the metronome, simply click the green PLAY button. It will turn into a STOP button, which you click to stop the metronome.
What are its special features?
In addition to doing what most other metronome apps do, Metronomus includes the following useful features:
Tap Tempo - Tap your finger on the Tap Tempo button to set the tempo. Very useful for finding the tempo of a recorded performance, for instance. It works both when the click sounds are playing or when the metronome is stopped!
Default Tempo (120 BPM) Reset - Simply double tap the top of the screen to set the tempo back to its default setting of 120 beats per minute.
Tempo Jump - A great feature for practicing tricky passages! Click the + or - buttons to quickly jump a custom number of steps up or down. Can be set to intervals of 1, 2, 5, or 10 beats per minute.
Custom Time Signatures - It’s easy to create custom time signatures! Simply click the time signature in the upper part of the screen to get to the intuitive time signature menu.
Visual Feedback - Perfect for recording! You can turn your sound off and use the visual beat indicator to keep time without bleeding the click sound into your tracks.
